Is there a way to make a look-up field so that it is non-clickable / non-hyperlink when displayed in a view? RRS feed

  • Question

  • We're using WSS 3.0 and can only work with the SharePoint GUI. We cannot create scripts or do anything outside of playing with standard settings.

I have a list of client names in list A. In list B, I have a look-up field/column where users can choose a client name from list A. However, when the client name field/column is displayed in List B, it works as a hyperlink that when clicked - takes you to the record in list A for that client. I don't want it to work as a hyperlink. I simply want it to display the client name. I don't think it's possible to do what I want - and am wondering if someone has a possible workaround.

Thanks in advance for any help you might be able to offer.
