Database log was increase every fast in exchange 2010 Sp2 RRS feed

  • Dear all,

     

    i have implement exchange 2010  sp2 with DAG and NLB on hub-cas server with 400 users.

    but now we found the issue that alot of log files and increase very fast. 1 days i take around 5GB of Log files.

    any solution for limited log files Age?

    any scripe to deleted log files automatically?

  • Oh and there was another issue with Exchange 2010 where if you have Journaling or a 3rd party Archive product it does cause some DB growth issues. Either way if you are using either check this out http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2621266

  • You can delete them by running an Exchange-aware backup.  If you're not worried about data loss in the event of a storage failure, then you can enable circular logging.

    They may be growing due to a mail loop.  Do you allow automatic replies or automatic forwards to the Internet?  Perhaps one of your users has a misconfigured forwarding or reply rule.
