    Hi

     Ihave a genuine copy of windows XP pro on disk and want to upgrade my laptop from home to pro however i do not have in my posession the Activation code that came with it is there a way i can obtain a code so that i would be able to upgrade?

    The product key for your Windows XP Professional is on the Certificate of Authority (COA) that came with the CD.  If you lost the COA, try the following:
