    Bios fine

Initializes Win 7 ok until the Chime rings signifying windows is finishing up

Suddenly shuts itself down resulting in a black screen (DOS looking)

Thr screen indicates tha Win 7 did not start properly Do you want to:

    -          Start windows normally

    -          Start windows in safe mode

    -          Start windows in safe mode with network access

    -          Start windows in safe mode with DOS

If I select normally it goes through the same process again and again and again  …………

If I select with newetwok the bulk of the system works fine as long as it does not reboot

  • Hi heraldrik.

Open the Windows Event Viewer and look in the "System" log for any record that could be related to those strange shutdowns.
Did you make any change after which the problem started to happen?

    Bye.

  • Well youre pc specs are under any default Windows OS settings. At least 4GB of memory should be installed..Also with Intel hardware goes, install the latest software/driver,its v9.2

Or download from pc mfg...Other,Start Windows in DOS???that will not start windows, windows runs in Explorer, not MS-DOS...Also,start pc in BIOS,locate & select Boot Priority, set C:  HD as 1st,cdrom as 2nd save & exit BIOS
