User Email account added to the distribution list by the owner but user cannot be seen in the Distribution List

  • User Email account added to the distribution list by the owner but user cannot be seen in the Distribution List and not receiving the email. However, when expanding the DL on the outlook then only the user email gets display.Issue is happening on Exchange Server 2010 Environment.

  • Hi,

    How did that owner add user to distribution list? From outlook or OWA? Owner can only manage the distribution group from OWA. 

    Instead of owner account, try to add group member using your admin account. If your account works fine, then try to re-add that user as owner of distribution group.

    One thing to mention, make sure the distribution list that owner performed is distribution group in exchange not the contact groups in outlook.

  • When you run Get-DistributionGroupMember -identity DLName can you see the member?

    You may try to re-add the member.
