Actually you will need to do some extensive searching on your own. Although Windows 7 should run on the 1525, there is no guarantee since Dell does not publish any Windows 7 drivers or utilites for the 1525. So, it is up to you to find any and
all drivers and utilities needed for the 1525 to be fully functional. One item in particular is the Fn keys. Without a comaptible Dell software utility the Fn keys will not work as this is not a Windows feature or function. Sometimes
the Vista drivers and utilities will provide the desired results and sometimes they won't. You won't know until you try. If you want to try 64-bit, you will need to find out if your CPU has the Intel EMT64 feature. If not you will have to
use 32-bit.
It would be logical for you to go to the Dell Community forums and ask your questions there:

In the Dell Community you have a much higher probability of find others with your hardware that are wanting to do the same thing. The Dell Community would be much more likely to answer questions about Windows 7 drivers and utilities.
