owa 2010 / ie 9 or 10 can't open additional window because computer low on memory RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello everybody. I have a problem similar to what I have been reading on forum but just can't get a fix to work.

    My system is Dell xps9000 i7 / 16 Gb ram. Run win 7 home premium 64 bit / IE10.

Issue, office recently went to OWA 2010 and broke my ability to open an email. I can open the app within IE9 or IE10 but as soon as I try to open an individual email I get status in subject line: unable to open additional window because computer low on memory.

What I have tried after trolling forums:

    * Ensured the only app running was IE. Ensured skype, other browsers, etc shut down.

    * Went into regedit and set stack memory for 64 bit per recommendations on forum. Same thing happened.

    * Tried IE10 in compat mode. Same thing happened.

    * Reverted back to IE9. Same thing happened.

    * Went into Systems Tools and ran IE with no add-ons. Same thing happened.

I do not know if this is related. Under IE10, even in compat mode certain nested links will not open. If I manually cut/paste into a new window (tab actually) they will then work.

Can anyone help me with further suggestions on what to do. Not being able to get into office emails is becoming painful.
