Uninstall SCCM Agent RRS feed

  • Hi Guys,

    I have 16 Windows Server 2008 and I want remove the SCCM agent from these servers, what is the easiest way and less interrupt?

    I want avoid reboot!

  • I still can see the configuration manager, run advertise program and program download manager in control panel.

  • c:\windows\system32\ccmsetup\ccmsetup.exe /uninstall for 32-bit or c:\windows\syswow64\ccmsetup\ccmsetup.exe /uninstall on 64-bit

    No reboot required.

  • Hi Jason,

    I have 64 Windows sever 2008 and the SCCM agent is installed under the  c:\windows\ccmsetup\ and ran the command ccmsetup.exe /uninstall

    and it is not doing nothing, thanks

  • Now that I look at the above, my directories were off, ccmsetup is always in c:\windows.

    "not doing nothing", I'm assuming you man it's not doing anything. Define "anything" though? The uninstall is completely silent. Have you reviewed ccmsetup.log in the same directory?

    sorry for confusing you I ran the command cmsetup.exe /uninstall, I know it runs silently but the ccmsetup folder is still there and the agent it is still showing in SCCM collection and here the log file:

  • Uninstalling the client agent has nothing to do with ConfigMgr showing the client installed in the console. Also, the ccmsetup folder doesn't get deleted; it's not part of the agent.

    Based on that log file, the uninstall completed fine.
