Hi, I have a new PC (Medion Quad Core Q6600) pre-installed with Vista Home Premium.

16 of the 19 inital updates all result in servicing errors 4375 & 4385 in the event logs, although update history and Belarc Advisor claim they downloaded and installed successully.

    Should I be concerned?

    With errors: KB943899, KB943411, KB943302, KB943078, KB942763, KB942624, KB942615, KB941651, KB941649, KB941644, KB941569, KB941568, KB941229, KB941202, KB933729, KB905866.

    Without errors: KB941833, KB915597, KB890830.

    Thanks for any advice.

  • Hi,

This problem may occur when the component store that contains information about Vista components is corrupted. I would like to suggest that trying the following steps:

    1.  Click Start , type %windir%\winsxs in the Start Search box
    2.  Press ENTER.
    3.  Locate and right-click the pending.xml file.
    4.  Click to select Properties.
    5.  Click the Security tab, and then click Edit.
    6.  Click Users, and then click to select Allow Full control.
    7.  Click OK two times.
    8.  Try to delete the pending.xml file again.
