Computer freezes when playing games in windows 7 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello, About a year ago i've purchased a Cyberpower computer.  Everything was running smoothly until a couple months ago the computer has been freezing on me whenever i've played a games. Thinking that maybe it was something in my computer i completely cleaned out my computer and only installed the games, it still froze during gameplay. Both games installed fine and i had no problems starting up the games.  I have AMD Radeon HD 6950 GDDR 16X PCIe Video card. I also have an 22 inch Asus monitor. My screen resolution is 1920x1080.
I'm going back and forth deciding rather or not it a heating issue. I do have a asetek 510LC Liquid cooling system 120mm Radiator and Fan. The video card reaches about 65 degrees c whenever i'm playing a game. One of games is not windows 7 compatible however it still starts up fine. The other game is windows 7 compatible but like i said both game freezes up during game play..
Any suggestion would be appreciated. If you need anymore information about my computer just let me know.

    I have Windows 7 Professional 64-bit

    TB SATA-III 6.0Gb/s 64MB Cache 7200RPM HDD [-25] (Single Hard Drive)

8GB (2GBx4) DDR3/1600MHz Dual Channel Memory Module (Corsair or Major Brand)

    any ideas would be appreciated.

  • Hi,

If there is any error message in Event Viewer? If so, please paste it here.

At this time, you may try to update your graphic card driver from device provider website and test the issue in Clean Boot environment.
