Scheduled tasks stop being executed after server patching RRS feed

  • Question

  • The issue appears to coincide with unattended monthly production server patching process.

The server has several user created (time trigger condition) scheduled tasks set up that run daily.

Immediately following patching, one or more of the tasks fail to run. Looking in the event viewer at the Applications and Services Logs->Microsoft->Windows->TaskScheduler logs, there is no indication the tasks exist.

There are no errors in any logs, the tasks or triggers are no longer being seen by the scheduler service.

I can get them working again (recognized by the system and executing on schedule) by re-registering them (open properties, click "OK", and enter the password).

Has anyone else seen this behavior and is there a fix?
