Issues with NET Framework

I have repeatedly gotten a pop-up that states at the top of the box, ".NET Initialization (error)" ..In the box itself it states, "Please set registry key HKLM\Software\Microsoft\.NET Framework\InstallRoot to point to the .NET Framework install location." I recieve this on different occasions such as trying to re-install HP Help and Support and also I have had issues with this same pop-up when trying to download service pack updates. After the initial pop-up it states I need to install a netframwork 2.0 version or higher. I already have all the netframework programs installed. 2.0, 4.0 client and full. Help!! Thank you!!

Hi,

Did you try to remove and reinstall the .Net Framework?

Please refer to the following KB article to repair the .Net Framework components to test:

You receive “0x80070643” or “0x643” error codes when you try to install .NET Framework updates through Windows Update or Microsoft Updates
