IP address previously configured on adapter was removed RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm having an issue similar to the one described here: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/forefront/en-US/5cdf7e5e-483b-4cc5-9072-d209db6339b2/repeating-interface-configuration-prompt?forum=forefrontedgeiag - "the IP address (www.xxx.yyy.zzz) previously configured on the adapter associated with the internal network was removed, and no internal network adapter is detected".

Except that when I click Yes the Network Configuration Wizard alerts me saying "Failed to get the adapter settings", and I am unable to manipulate the network settings for UAG.  TMG on the otherhand appears to operate fine; the sites hosted on UAG (portal, webmail) all appear fine.  As this is a production machine for UAG and VPN, I cannot yet restart the machine.  Is there another solution I could test during production hours?

There was no change to the network adapters on the machine. Internal is configured with a static internal IP; subnet; NO default gateway; configured DNS servers.

    Ideas are much appreciated!
