Annoying Blue Screen/ Random Rebbot RRS feed

  • Question

  • Ok, so I have an Asus N80 vb laptop.  It has Vista Home Premium 64-bit on it.  I've been having nothing but blue screens, and random reboots!  It's not reliable for anything I need it for.  I have tried troubleshooting it but I can't get anywhere with it.  It's a clean install with all updates installed, I think it might be one of the updates but i'm not sure.  Any help anyone can offer would be appreciated, I'll give you any info you need!

  • Most likely it is an update. best thing would be to upgrade to 7 or xp. If going with the professorial version or ultimate there is xp mode. Otherwise Windows Vista has been unreliable in all means for me. While 7 Has had problems because the parts were designed for vista and unable to be completely cooperative in 7.

  • Well I tried 7 awhile ago, this model of laptop doesn't support it...  And I don't have a legal key for XP.  Is there a way to analyze the minidumps and maybe be able to see what update is causing it?
