Windows 7 Security Policy Defaults RRS feed

  • Question

  • Does anyone know of a link to an up-to-date document listing all of the various default local security policy settings and user rights for Windows 7.  For example "Logon as Batch Job" and a listing of what default Groups and Users have the rights for this (looking for all of the settings). I have seen this previously for Windows XP , but now need it updated for Windows 7 (also if there is a "best practice" setting for these that changes them from the default, to more securely lock PCs down, that might be useful also).

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Jeff

It is about Windows 7 Security Baseline that is part of the Microsoft Security Compliance Manager tool, which is designed to provide you with an end-to-end solution to help you plan, deploy, and monitor the security baselines of computers running Windows® 7 and BitLocker® Drive Encryption in your environment.
