Unable to create the folder 'New Folder' The supplied kernel information version is invalid RRS feed

  • Question

  • When  i try to create a new folder i receive the error (Unable to create the folder 'New Folder'  The supplied kernel information version is invalid).  I cannot create a folder or file anywhere.  I check the event viewer but found nothing that relates to this.  Any Suggestions?

Based on the description, we can try to run command sfc/scannow to check if some system files are corrupt and repair the corrupt system files.

Regarding SFC.exe, the following article can be referred to for more information.

Use the System File Checker tool to repair missing or corrupted system files

Besides, we can also try to run command chkdsk to check the disk health of the computer.

    Chkdsk

In addition, we can try to run anti-virus software if available to give the system a check.
