DFS-R to centralize backup...Monitoring RRS feed

    Hi guys,

    we centralized the backup of our branch offices to our headquarter. To transfer the file data wie use DFS-R. Everything seems to run fine, but I am wondering hy there is no monitoring application to see the replication progress, errors and so on.

    I know I can do a few test at the DFS Management snap in and there is also a MP for SCOM, but there is nothing where I can get a short overview of the replication progress.

    Any ideas on this?

    Hi Michael,

    As you said there is no tool can help see the replication progress.

    You can create Diagnostic Report to test the replication process. Meanwhile, if DFS works improperly, related error messages can also be found in Event log. You can create a task to send an email to admin when a DFS related error occurs.
