Auto-Attendant and DTMF RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello! I have a trouble with input for Auto-Attendant.

When I turn off all features that request some input, and the only forwarding to operator is on everything works fine and the call is coming to this user.

When I turn on anything with input (internal number or 0 for operator) I make a call, try press buttons, but nothing happens, the voice still asking me "Are you here?" and so on.

In Lync logs I see my dtmf input, but the next message is "The method is not allowed". In Exchange logs I don't see any messages with errors.

There is one server with Exchange 2010 and all roles and one server Lync with all roles in my test environment.

Can you tell me what to check and how resolve this problem?

Answers

  • You need to modify your gateway to use RFC 2833 for DTMF instead of SIP INFO.

  • Hi,spin2,

So you have enabled and configured the  Key mapping for DTMF input on Exchange UM,right?

As far as I know, the DTMF Method of Lync Server is very basic, only RFC2833 method it's supported,so as Jamie said you should make sure your gateway to use RFC 2833 rather than other options.

    Regards,

    Sharon
