Project Professional 2007 Compatibility with Win 7 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Does anyone have any information on the Win 7 compatibility with Project Professional 2007. Also any compatibility information on Project Web Access 2007 and  Win 7 specifically around Data Anaysis page issues. We're on SQL 2005.  We've ran the Windows 7 Upgrade Adivisor but that did not shed any light on Project Web Access Compatibility though Professional 2007 listed as compliant.

    Thanks,

    David

  • Hi David,

MS Project 2007 is compatible with Win 7. Office Project Server 2007 runs on Windows Server 2003 with SP1 or later. Refer : http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc197379(office.12).aspx

  • Thanks Sapna,  we're really looking at whether the Data Analysis page (Cube data) in PWA will continue to function with out issue if we upgrade our clients to 64 bit Win 7 OS.  Our entire farm including sql is at 64 bit.   There's a blurb on Brian Smith's blog about 32 bit issues with the OLAPCubeGenerator.exe.  Just want to be sure that switching our clients to 64 bit client would not introduce any unknown's into the olap world as it relates to the data analysis page and cube data.  sounds like a non issue.

    Thanks,

    David.
