Project submission methods for non-PMs RRS feed

  • Question

  • Greetings,

I need to know how I can allow anyone to submit a project request through a web-based form and have it routed to MS Project Server.

I will need several versions of the form based on the type of request...

The submission should go into the project proposal to be vetted. I can take care of the rest...

    Your thoughts?

    Thanks Bill

What you are describing is possible in Project Server 2010 and 2013.  The solution would involve the creation of a series of custom PDPs (Project Detail Pages) that capture the necessary information for the proposed project.  The solution would also require the creation of a custom Workflow to handle the approval process.  To learn more about the proposals feature in Project Server, refer to the following:

If you do not have anyone on your staff with the skills needed to do the two parts of the solution, I would recommend you enlist the aid of a competent Project Partner (such as EPMA, for example).  Hope this helps.
