  • Each user is assigned to a routing group. The ID of the user is stored on the AD an will be checked with your SFB Database.

If you restore your VM image and this ID is changed, the user lost all his settings and it could happened that the user will see all contacts as offline. You can check this with two users. Remove them from the pool and assign the users again.

  • Are all of your services restarted, are the SQL instances running?  Can users IM eachother?  Can they see their contact lists?  It sounds like your back end databases might not be fully started or may have been corrupted and may need to be restored from your exported config.  If you're not backing up via PowerShell, you'll want to schedule a nightly task that at a minimum runs export-csconfiguration and export-csuserdata somewhere.

  • Hi Peang Suy,

Welcome to post in our forum.

    Agree with others.

As a supplement, after you run the command line export-csconfiguration and export-csuserdata, please try to run the command Get-CsManagementStoreReplicationStatus check if the CMS with the latest update and test again.

Please make sure your SQL instance is running without any problem.

After this, if the issue persists, you could also try to also set the Lync client policy parameter "AddressBookAvailability" to the value of WebSearchOnly, then Lync client will search the address book from BE database directly.

Moreover, make sure your SFB server and client with the latest update

    Hope this helpful to you.

  • Best way to find out wagt the problem is.

If the connection is not possible. Activate the trace on the client and on the access edge server to troubleshoot this problem. Maybe it is only a network problem?
