How to choose types of notifications which are sent to users? ProjectServer 2013 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Is there a administrative possibility to choose which types of alerts / reminders are sent to users? Eg. we dont want to send alerts about publishing a schedule.

    I`ve found information:

The following user actions can generate e-mail notifications:
    Publish
    Reassign Tasks
    Task Updates
    New Tasks
    Overdue Tasks
    Status Report Requests
    Status Report Responses
    Overdue Status Reports
    New Issue is Opened
    New Risk is Opened
    Issue Assignment
    Issue is Modified
    Document Changes (New, Delete, Modify
    Task List Delegation
    Queue Job Failure

But WHERE can we choose which ones will be sent?

  • Hello,

There is no configuration to those Project Server alerts out of the box, you only have the options on that page. If you want more control you could look at customisation using the Project Server events.

Regarding the New / modified Risk / SharePoint alerts, the users can configure those on the individual lists using the out of the box SharePoint alerts functionality.

  • Hello,

Under the personal settings page, you will see "Manage My Alerts and Reminders" you can set the alerts there. A link to the page can be seen below:

http://<PWA Site URL>/_layouts/15/pwa/Notification/Self_Notification.aspx  - update the PWA Site URL

  • Thanks for the reply.

I know about this form, but there is no possibility to configure alerts for actions like Publish, New risk is opened, etc.

  • So I thought , but I wanted to make sure that there is no "hidden" configuration out of the box. Thanks for the reply!
