MBR:corrupt Error code=0x45d RRS feed

  • Sony desktop with Windows 7 Home Premium cannot find drive C and operating system. I have tried all options but the final report was: MBR: corrupt and error code=0x45d. I need your help.

  • As the error code 0x45d specifies that the master boot record or partition table has been corrupt and you cannot access it until the same has been fixed.

    You can recover the lost drive partition with the help of bootrec.exe /fixmbr. This command can run from command prompt and popularly useful in repairing the corrupt partition table. 

    In most of the MBR related Windows issues, it proves helpful. Hope it works out for you too! Give it a try!
