Oracle connection string RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All, I'm trying to connect PerformancePoint to an Oracle database.  For some reason I can't get the connection string to work.  I have a working ODBC connection to the Oracle database on my PerformancePoint box so no connectivity issues.  Can anyone provide a connection string that works or a way to use the ODBC connection?  Sorry if this is straight forward, I can find anything useful on the net.  Thanks!

  • It should look something like the following for the ODBC connection string to Oracle in PPS:

    DRIVER={Oracle in OraClient11g_home};SERVER=<SERVER NAME>;UID=<USER NAME>;PWD=<PASSWORD>;DBQ=<SERVER NAME>;

    You would have to see what the driver name reference is on your box based on the Oracle Home setup during install and then swap our your server name, user name, and password information.
