Login/Logout delays after performing windows experience index RRS feed

    I have a HP tx1000 notebook with Windows 7 installed.

    everything was OK, but after I performed Windows Experience Index to rate my notebook, I got a long delay between login and showing desktop with a blank screen for about 20 seconds. the same is happened when i want to log out or restart or shutdown.

    what can i do for this. please help me...

    I have never seen that WEI could cause this kind of problem. I suggest you may perform a Clean Boot then check whether this problem is caused by third party software.




    Note: Clean Boot is a step of troubleshooting, we can go back to normal by running MSCONIFG.


    Also I wondering whether you may find an Event log in “Computer management ->Event Viewer ->Windows log -> system” which Event ID is 100,such as:


    Log Name:      Microsoft-Windows-Diagnostics-Performance/Operational

    Source:        Microsoft-Windows-Diagnostics-Performance

    Date:          7/12/2010 7:30:48 PM

    Event ID:      100
