Skype For Business login for on prem user not working RRS feed

  • Question

  • Dear,

We are implementing Skype for business in 0ffice365 for on premise users. The steps we completed

    1. Office 365 Tenant activated , Domain abc.ae verified and users are sync in o365

    2. Azure AD Connect was used with SSO and Pass Thru Authentication without Password Hash Synchronization

Error Facing - Skype for business working if we create a user in cloud. But Skype for business not working for any user which is sync from on premise. We installed the domain certificate on client PC. We reset the password in cloud also but again and again it prompts for the password.

Please advise as it seems some configuration related users with sync.

  • Hi FAROOQUE-UAE,

    2. Azure AD Connect was used with SSO and Pass Thru Authentication without Password Hash Synchronization

Based on your description , I think you enable Password Hash Synchronization in the select the sign on menthod,

    Single Sign On option

    Description

    Password Hash Sync

Users are able to sign in to Microsoft cloud services, such as Office 365, using the same password they use in their on-premises network. The users passwords are synchronized to Azure AD as a password hash and authentication occurs in the cloud. See Password hash synchronization for more information.
