location based routing for lync 2013 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Dear All,

we have lync deployment with following scenario,

Lync server deployed at site 1 with Enterprise voice (with avaya) and external access

SITE 1: Lync 2013 FE server1, lync 2013 Edge server and Avaya session manager

    everything works fine.

we have a new site called SITE 2 in a different country , and have a Avaya IP PBX at that location and no lync servers at that site.

Now all the external call are routing  through SITE1, we want the lync users at site B should route their external calls via the IPPBX at SITE B.

Is it possible to do this using location based routing?

or any other configuration to do?

    please help me..

  • Hi

Yes, you can do this with location base routing or configure the same routes with each site trunk, create separate PSTN usage and  voice policy for both sites and assigned voice policy to users in respective site.

  • Hi,

    Agree with Sajell Akram.

    1. By modify the voice routing, you can firstly create a trunk and associate the Mediation Server in Site 1 and associated the PSTN gateway in Site 2. Publish the topology. Then modify the voice routing setting using Lync Server Control Panel.

    2. For location based routing method:
