  • 404 is simply page not found. Its either DNS resolution not working properly/not done or the request is not in the website bindings or the website is stopped in IIS. Please check if you are able to resolve web app address on front end server, website is started on front end servers, bindings are correctly set for website, and public url is correct.

    Thanks

  • Hi,

Have your create the root site on your webapplication  http://xxxwebxxx:6546?

Otherwise  find is there any AAM has been set in SharePoint end or new host header in the host file ?

  • Hi Jaydev

SP Web application would be accessible only with public url set in AAM settings. If you want web app to be accessible using http://xxxwebxxx:6546, please navigate to central administration -> application management -> configure alternate access mappings -> select your web app -> edit public url and change the same.

    Thanks

  • Is your site & app pool in Web server up and running? Do you see any issue with IIS ?

  • Yes they are running properly and IIS is also not giving any error only 404 error is coming.

There is no issue with Central Admin as well and we had created new test web application which is also facing same issue.
