Application Installation Issue With MDT 2012 Update 1 Using MDT Database RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I got some issue with install Application with MDT 2013 Update 1 LTI

I am populating Computer Model & MAC ID in SQL database.

Database seems OK. MDT LTI picks data from MDT database and deploying Windows correctly

But no Application installs during the deployment. BDD Log shows "Application List is empty, exiting ZTIApplications.wsf"

But if the default rule is followed from customsettings.ini all the application installs correctly.

    customsettings.ini

  • You cs.ini is missing the the required CApps rules.
Rerun the configure database wizard and select Applications in the Computer dialog this time.

  • Do you have access to the DB? Post BDD.log to something like OneDrive and share the link here?

Logs are very important. https://keithga.wordpress.com/2014/10/24/video-mdt-2013-log-files-basics-bdd-log-and-smsts-log/ Mention any customizations you have made.

  • I don't see any evidence of the DB sections being processed.  Can you share your customsettings.ini?

  • I did miss that you had already posted your cs.ini in your first post. Sorry. You might try to change your TS to gather and process rules.

  • Well I tried by creating a new TS with no luck. But if I am not using the MDT Database it follows the default rule (CS.ini) and the application are installing fine.
