MS Word (2010) Watermark appearing only on portable devices

  Morning all,

  I'm experiencing an odd problem with a batch of documents that my colleagues have recently created.  A few Word Documents (created in W2007, edited in W2010) when viewed via SharePoint and client desktops appear normal.

  However, when a document is viewed via a portable device (such as an iPhone or an iPad) a clear watermark is evident.  I've checked: -

  1. Checking the watermark settings under Page Layout (produced nothing)
  2. Checking the watermark settings within my printer set-up (also nothing)
  3. Checked the macros (also nothing)
  4. Check if a cover page had been set (also nothing)

  I'm not aware of any reason why a watermark would only appear on portable devices, so any ideas would be appreciated.
