2 Locataions with the same domain can not send email to each other. RRS feed

  • Hi all,

    we have a new client who is based in two locations and they both have the same domain.

    The system is working fine until a user at location 1 wishes to send an email to a user at location 2. The location 1 exchange server keeps the email (as its the same domain) local and produces a error that the user does not exist.

    They pick up their mail via pop (ie location 1 picks up half the email and takes it back to location 1 and location 2 back to location 2)

    It is SBS 2003 system.

    Is there a way to force either all outgoing mail back to ISP (even with same domain)

    Is there a way of creating a list of email address (ie for the other location) that are forced outbound to ISP
