Does deployment have to do anything and does it have a duration since storage mode is rollup. I changed settings of an existing project from molap to rolap and not sure if I have done everything right, I want to make sure the project in rollup mode. I have
a sql server profile running and it's showing many select distincts against sql server database, is that mean I missed a setting and it's not in rollup mode or it should still run queries and take time to deploy in rollup mode?
SQL Server Analysis Services provides three different approaches for creating a business intelligence semantic model: Tabular, Multidimensional, and PowerPivot. Multidimensional mode is the default server mode of Analysis Services. It includes a query and
calculation engine for OLAP data, with MOLAP, ROLAP, and HOLAP storage modes to balance performance with scalable data requirements.
SSAS doesn't provide Rollup storage mode. In your case, could you please elaborate your business requirement with more detail? Maybe we can find out other method to workaround this issue.
