  • Issue: Migration from Project Server 2007 to Project Server 2010

Migration approach : Database attach core group to Project Server 2010 (URL : http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee662499.aspx#diagnose)

Step1 : Backup Project Server 2007 core database (Draft, Archive, Publish, Report) from MS SQL Server 2008.

    Step2:  Setup Single Box Environment

                  Windows 2008 R2

                  MS SQL Server 2012

                  SharePoint 2010

                 Project Server 2010

Step 3: Restore Project Server 2007 Core databases (Draft, Archive, Publish, Report)  in MS SQL Server 2012.

Step 4. Restoration activity successfully completed.

Step 5: Create PWA from SharePoint 2012 Central Admin Step 6: During provision process it failed.

I didi visited relavant posts but they do not say "why" it happen, Only commonanlities I find is log a case with MS and it was resolved.

    Please guide me.

  • Hi there,

Did you also take the content database from the PS 2007 farm that contains the PWA site collection to the PS2010 farm and attach this to the 2010 web application where you are provisioning the PWA site in 2010?

    Thanks

    Paul
