Internet Explorer on propriatary application RRS feed

  • Question

  • Dear All,

We have an issue with our Finacle application from Infosys where the drop down on Java front end screens are not working on some computers which have the same Microsoft windows and Java versions. The setting of Java and Internet Explorer are same along with the windows o\s which we apply though core load. We observe that in some the drop down is working while in some there are disabled.

Please help in resolving this issue. Ready to provide more details on request.

    Regards

    Michael

  • This is a Security Certificate issue.

You need to send your screen shot to the vendor (Finacle).

btw, Just because the Windows versions are the same does not mean that the wininet.dlls are the same.

Java versions can also be misleading because more than one version can exist on a system.

  • Hi,

It's not clear your issue. We need more information to narrow down the problem.

Did you open this application from Internet Explorer?  What's the version of Internet Explorer?

Did you contact the Finacle support to see if it's applied to Internet Explorer? And what's the drop down?

Meanwhile, I would like to suggest you try Internet Explorer Compatibility View:

Fix site display problems with Compatibility View

  • Dear Karen,

Did you open this application from Internet Explorer? = YES

What's the version of Internet Explorer? =VERSION 8

Did you contact the Finacle support to see if it's applied to Internet Explorer?= WE ARE CURRENTLY WITH THEM, AND TOGETHER WE ARE TRYING TO RESOLVE THIS CAUSE FINACLE WORKS ON IE only

And what's the drop down?= AS SHOWN IN THE IN THE IMAGE BELOW; when we use the mouse to click on the drop down arrow we are not getting the other values but only with the keyboard arrow keys

Meanwhile, I would like to suggest you try Internet Explorer Compatibility View:= the below image was taken after enabling the compatibility view..

Waiting for your usual prompt response:
