Remote Desktop Connection Problem From two different IP RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello guys,
I am facing a problem related to Remote Desktop,
    we use leased line.
my company has tow server placed in a Remote location.
usually i need to connect to those two servers from my pc...my pc is assigned with a private IP address , and uses the gate way (as my routers IP). With this configuration i can connect to both of the remote servers easily.

Recently i implimented a proxy server in my office.
now i am using IP of my proxy server as the default gateway.
when i m connecting to those remote servers i am able to connect the first one, but not getting connected to second one. Those two servers are in same ip range and i am getting ping reply from both of them.

Is there any one kind enough to give me a reply.

  • Have you tried changing the ports used to access the Remote Desktops. For example set the port s for one machine to 9984 and the other to 9983. When connecting specify the machine with the port used.

    192.168.1.1:9984

    1921.168.1.2:9983.

Not sure if this helps, but good luck.

  • Have you checked for entries in Host file? If there are entries with IP/hostane you can. Also, try to telnet both the IP's on port 3389 for RDP
