Blank screen after changing display settings RRS feed

  • Question

  • i was mucking around setting up a dual output setup and accidentally changed the video output to monitor i think and since then whenever i boot up my laptop it just comes up as a blank screen. i can start up in safe mode and it works fine but i can't get back into the same menu to change the setting back again. i accessed the menu by right clicking on the desktop. if anyone can tell me how to change these settings back through safe mode i'd be much obliged

  • Hi,

I suggest setting dual monitor type as “duplicate”. You can change it via pressing function keys on laptop’s keyboard or going to Screen Resolution.

  • go to the screen resolution (after you right click on the desktop) setting and make sure the monitor selected is the one you are currently using.  There should also be an option to make this my default monitor.
