Lost Product Key RRS feed

  • Question

  • The previous IT Manager installed this Windows Server 2003 R2 Enterprise Edition to our server.  He resigned and we forgot to ask for the Product key.  Is there a way to trace the Product Key, I have the original CD with Part number and everything.  Can you please help me.

  • Assuming the key is not stuck to the side of the server, there is a chance that the reseller may have recorded it, or it is one of the volume license programs and the key will be on the MS Volume License web site, formally known as eopen.

If  none of that seems possible, I have seen one or more of the programs found on this site to be useful.  Many are free.
