DPM Backup Job Cancel Option through Powershell RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All,

We are using DPM 2010 for Exchange Server 2010 Database backup. We have 24 Database in all the three mailbox servers.

Actually, We need to cancel one particular database backup job through DPM powershell. Is there any DPM shell command available to cancel particular job.

I checked in DPM Console. But if i cancel one database job in one server , all the database jobs are related to servers is canceling.

    Thanks in Advance.

    Regards

  • Hi ManojKumar,

No there isn't a PowerShell option to cancel that.

Actually, Exchange DBs that are in the same protection group belongs to a single job. There is a XML column in DPMDB that contains all databases.

So if you want to cancel a job from a specific database, the only option is to stop protection of that said database.
