OWA problem (Win7 + IE 8) in Exchange 2010 and Exchange 2003 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi

Does anyone have Exchange 2003 and Exchange 2010 coexist environment,

I have one OWA problem which is the Exchange 2010 user in

Client Win7 + IE 8 using OWA to send an email with Attachment (any type and any size) to Exchange 2003 user in same organization, if the Exchange 2003 also OWA to check this email (the exchange 2003 user can be any type broswer (IE 7 or Firefox),

That email will have attachment icon in the inbox view, but when open that email, it cannot find the attachment...but if that exchange 2003 user using Outlook client to check the same email, the attachment is here and can open...

I have tested many comblination...the other combination is normal...

    e.g.

Exchange 2010 user use outlook client send to exchange 2003/2010 user, it's ok

Exchange 2010 user use winxp + ie 8 send to exchange 2003/2010 user, it's ok

Only Win7+IE8+Exchange 2010 user    ---> send to -----> Exchange 2003+OWA user have problem...

Can anyone also check check this combination...thx...

  • Hi,

Does the issue occur on certain user mailbox with certain machine or each user on each machine? What about the result if you send the email via OWA on another Windows 7 machine?

I suspect the issue is caused by incorrect browser settings as Mdniyazk mentioned. Please refer to the following article to Reset Internet Explorer 8 settings to check the result.

If the issue persists, please also refer to the link below to troubleshoot the issue.

  • Hi Bro its seems that your problem is related with IE explorer because IE 8 has some great enhance features  like phishing filter, content filtering and protected mode just try other explorer like firefox or else you have to modify the explorers internet settings.
