  • Question

  • We are currently on SCCM 2012 R2 SP1. What is the latest version of current branch we can do a in place upgrade to. Also, do I need to do anything on my DP's, or will the primary take care of whichever components need updating?

  • You can see the upgrade paths here https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sccm/core/servers/deploy/install/upgrade-to-configuration-manager#bkmk_path

However which OS is your primary site running as server 2008 r2 and sql 2008 r2 isn't supported in 1702 https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sccm/core/plan-design/configs/supported-operating-systems-for-site-system-servers#windows-server-2008-r2-with-sp1-x64-standard-enterprise-and-datacenter https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sccm/core/plan-design/configs/support-for-sql-server-versions

you may have to upgrade your OS and SQL
