DHCP Failover Setup - Automatic State Switchover & Network Isolation RRS feed

  • Question

  • Dear Experts,

We have HA configured for DHCP service and running fine with two dhcp servers on different sites. Recently, We have enabled Automatic State Switchover . One of the question which needs clarity is on a scenario.

What will happen if these sites face a network connectivity issue?

    Any help appreciated.

    Cheers !

  • Hi Shaba,

If the network connection between DHCP failover partners is broken for an extended period of time and a state switchover interval is configured, it is possible for both DHCP servers to enter the partner down state.
