  • Try this with your sync rule, if you don't wish to use rules extensions.

    CustomExpression(Right(yourDate,4)+"-"+Mid(yourDate,4,2)+"-"+Left(yourDate,2))

  • I suggest you write an inbound classic Advanced rule in CSV MA to change the date to MM/DD/YYYY

  • In the File MA, go to the attribute flow of the EndDate and make it an advanced/rules extension from EndDate to the MV attribute EmployeeEndDate:

In the Configure Extensions section, look at the DLL that will be used by this MA.  In my case it is FileExtension.DLL:

In the FileExtension.DLL source code, go to the MapAttributesForImport method and enter the following:

Compile the DLL and verify the date/time stamp on the file is updated and the file exists in \Program Files\Microsoft Forefront Identity Manager\2010\Synchronization Service\Extensions

Run a full synchronization of the File MA and you should see the date transformed into the MV in proper ISO-8601 format -- what the FIM Portal will want in the EmployeeEndDate.

  • Big Thanks!

    Simple solution.

    Need for me:

    Right(UVOL,4)+"-"+Mid(UVOL,4,2)+"-"+Left(UVOL,2)+"T08:00:00.000"
