  • Question

  • I`ve built my own pc.

    AMD Phenom II X6 1075T

    Asus M4A87TD USB EVO

    ATI Radeon HD 5850

    2X2GB G-Skill Ripjaw Ram

Ive been having random BSOD. It usually occurs when i play games but sometimes it also happened when the pc is just idling. Any solution to this?

  • SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION (3b)
An exception happened while executing a system service routine.
    Arguments:
Arg1: 00000000c0000005, Exception code that caused the bugcheck

    EXCEPTION_CODE: (NTSTATUS) 0xc0000005 - access violation

    STACK_TEXT:
    nt!KiTryUnwaitThread+0x28

    IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (a)
An attempt was made to access a pageable (or completely invalid) address at an
interrupt request level (IRQL) that is too high.  This is usually
caused by drivers using improper addresses.

Please download memtest86+ [1], burn a new bootable CD (use a CD-RW if possible) from the ISO (download and use ImgBurn [2][3] to do this or make double click on the ISO in Windows 7), reboot your PC and scan your RAM 4-5hours for errors. If memtest86+ detects errors, test each module its own and replace the faulty RAM.

If the memtest tells no error, please download CPU-Z [4], look in the memory and SPD tab and verify that the current RAM Speed and the Timings match to the values that you see in the SPD tab. If your RAM run at CR (Command Rate) 1T, change the value into 2T in the BIOS. This should fix the crashes.

  • A bugcheck (BSOD) is a mechanism to protect your PC from damage.

To see the cause I have to take a look at the dumps with the Debugging Tools for Windows.

Please start the Windows Explorer and go to the folder C:\Windows\Minidump. Next, copy the dmp files to your desktop, zip all dmp into 1 zip file and upload the zip file to your public Skydrive [1] folder and post a link here.
