Force Check-in My Projects RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

One project of Project Manager "john" is stuck in a Check-out state : Administrator can see it in the Force Check-in enterprise Objects : User: John.

Project Manager John goes to his Project Center, Click Check-in my projets... and his Force Check-in My Projects page is empty.

    Why?

    Thanks again

  • Hi WLID1966,

There could be couple of possibilities and here are teh steps:

    a. Check the Queue Settings and ensure that all is set to default
    b. Check the Queue Jobs (Processing, Success, Failed and Blocking) types with Time as backdrop and ensure nothing is blocking the queue jobs
    c. Ask the PM John not to enter into PWA until this issue is resolved - Possible corruption may occur.

    d. If this is not in Production, I would almost say - recycle the project server service  and check the status

  • All work done on project server goes thru a queue.  When you first look, a request may have been in a queue and waiting to execute.  When you looked again, the entry in queue got execute and so now the project has been "Force checked-in" and so it is removed from the list.

    Cheers!

  • Hi Michael,

But 30 mn later the project is still checked out in the administrator view, and the project manager view is still empty. I waited on purpose. ;-(

  • Hi Gokul,

Thanks, I'll try that the next time it occurs.  Right now I forced the Checkin from the administrator side (it's a test server), and I don't have any job in a waiting state in my Queuing page.
