Project Server 2010 - Resource center -Resource availability - error RRS feed

  • When we click on Resources ->Resouce center ->Resource availability, we are getting the following error message

    Error

    An unexpected error has occurred.

     

    Troubleshoot issues with Microsoft SharePoint Foundation.

    Correlation ID:515282fb-cece-4d5a-af4b-db2b00a49516

    Following is recorded in log event

    .Net SqlClient Data Provider: System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Timeout expired.  The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding.
       at Microsoft.ResourceManagement.Data.Exception.DataAccessExceptionManager.ThrowException(SqlException innerException)
       at Microsoft.ResourceManagement.Data.DataAccess.DoRequestCreation(RequestType request, Guid cause, Boolean doEvaluation)
       at Microsoft.ResourceManagement.Data.DataAccess.CreateRequest(RequestType request, Guid cause, Boolean doEvaluation)
       at Microsoft.ResourceManagement.WebServices.RequestDispatcher.CreateRequest(UniqueIdentifier requestor, UniqueIdentifier targetIdentifier, OperationType operation, String businessJustification, List`1 requestParameters, CultureInfo locale, Boolean isChildRequest, Guid cause, Boolean doEvaluation)
       at Microsoft.ResourceManagement.WebServices.ResourceManagementService.Put(Message request)

     

    Any help on this?

  • Recreated a new instance of project server.

  • Ooooo!  That looks ugly..

    To get to the root of this issue look into your ULS logs for hints on why is happening.  Also, you will need to turn in SQL Server tracing and then reproduce the error.  The tracing log in SQL Server is has a correlation ID that will match up to ULS logs.  Sounds like SQL doesn't like something in the required.

  • Hello Sanjeev,

    How many resources are there in PWA? Try selecting few & see the response.

    Try doing the below:

    1. IISrest on App server
    2. Database index rebuild
    3. Restart the Servers if needed.

    2. Database index rebuild
    3. Restart the Servers if needed.
