if you install on windows 8 as VM . you doesn't need to restart your physical server and change to Win Server 2008R2 .
and you can easily start VM and work with VM .

I see Hyper - V option available only in windows 8 pro and enterprise versions,
i have windows 8 , and i dont have an option to upgrade,
I have created a VHD , and used oracle virtual box .
