How to load the sas driver in WinXP.SP3 32Bit in the absence of device. RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All,

I am writing some automation for WindowsXP. Following is  my requirement,

    1. My hardware has only LSI controller disks. I have installed WindowsXP on one of the disk.

    2. Before I run my automation my WindowsXP host should be configured with the LSISAS driver .

    3. Automation will add the LSISAS disks to windows XP host and then will reconfigure the disks once it finds the driver in the OS.

So my question is, can I configure my WindowsXP host with LSISAS driver even though I dont have any LSISAS controller present in hardware.

If yes, can anyone help me how to install the LSISAS driver in the absence of SAS device.

Any help will be greatly appreciated .

  • Forgot to add one more req, I dont want to install the SAS driver during installation process. I already have my WindowsXP hosts up and running. So please let me know the procedure to add SAS driver to these hosts.
