REG QUERY : RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

The following command result in error "Too many command-line parameters" :

    REG QUERY "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList" /v ProfileImagePath /s

I think the issue is because of the space in "Windows NT" but the quote is supposed to fix it...

    Please help :)

    EDIT :

It is working fine on windows 7, not windows XP (french versions).

    On XP

    REG QUERY "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList" /v ProfileImagePath

worsk fine. I have got the error when I add the /s parameter.

  • Hi,

For some reason /s key is not working like Windows 7, so modify your query like this to get the result.

    REG QUERY "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList" /s | FIND "ProfileImagePath"

    Good Luck
