  • Hi,

O365 uses the cloud-based user authentication service Azure Active Directory to manage users, which means O365 users are stored in Azure AD.

Are Azure SharePoint farm and O365 using a same tenant?

If yes, they’re using the same Azure AD. When you create a new user in O365, the user will be synchronized with Azure AD automatically.

If they are in different tenants, you need to sync users between two Azure AD. Here is an article about how to add users from other directories in Azure Active Directory, which would be helpful to you.

For more help about this question, I suggest you post in Azure AD forum. You will get more confirmed answers there.

    Thanks,

    Dean Wang
