Where to get webparts? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm looking for sites that have webparts to possibly use for my SharePoint site.  Thus far we've purchased 2 webparts from 2 different developers and I'm looking for some other webparts to enhance our site but can't find any site that has something like a Web Part gallery.  Is there such a site?

Please excuse if me I've posted in the wrong forum.

  • There are many vendors that sell custom webparts. What specific type of webpart functionality are you looking for?

  • The place I usually start out with is http://www.SharePointReviews.com . Its certainly not a comprehensive list of what's available, but its got information about quite a few of the components and web parts available, as well as independent reviews and information about some of them.

  • Hi,

Yes, I've went through alot of searches found different ones.  I've been looking for many different types of webparts, from being able to drag n drop documents from a document library into an email to document library category columns, etc.

It takes alot of searching to try and find a webpart.  For most needs, I've found ways to accomplish the task by just working with SharePoint and figuring out ways to manipulate using Lists, and alot of SharePoint Designer .ASPX pages.

  • No equivalent in SharePoint to the "app store".

All the web parts in the world, you can trim your results for "drag and drop"
